Getting around is easy. Nice parks and resorts and tourist areas. I liked the tourist areas around Erbil, short day trips then you can go back to your hotel in the city.
I see that the government is working to improve tourism, however, there is still more work need to be done, investment in the parks and resorts is very important which will bring more tourist locally and internationally.

Our stay at the hotel was beyond exceptional! This was mainly due to the front office receptionist (Ramen) who was extremely helpful, professional and courteous. Our entire duration was seamless and wonderful! It’s obvious the staff truly care about their guests and we will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel. Thank you so much again Ramen, you have made us loyal guests

I would stay in Ainkawa rather than Erbil, it is a waking area. Erbil is a car city, like Dubai or Jakarta. It is not a walking city like Kuala Lumpur or Paris.
If one has a car than Erbil area is nice, especially if one can go up into the mountains in the summer.

Erbil itself is an interesting historical city but you probably only need two days to visit most of the highlights. It's easy to get around as there is always a glut if taxis. It helps if you have gps and you know the local name of where you're going. Staying in Ankawa probably makes the most sense for any tourist as many of the best restaurants ( Fuul & hummus), bars (Dusk) and spas are there.
Erbil is also a perfect base for travelling the governorate including Haji Ormran, gslgurd mountain and Felaw pound, Bekhal, Gali Ali Bag, korek mountain and Shingalbana

A city full of history and culture.
A city full of history and culture. Survivors of thousands of years of war, still able to preserve their culture while embracing modern traditions and culture. so much to see, to do and so many beautiful people. Put it on your bucket list, you won't regret it.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast, excellent standard for a 3 star hotel. The only thing is that there are rooms without windows, which you still need to warn about in advance if you have booked just such, since not everyone will be comfortable in them, especially people with claustrophobia. I like this hotel and recommend to my colleagues commuting to Erbil.
I did have the Buffet Breakfast, it was good, the food was presented well, hot, and appetizing. I sat outside and enjoyed the green area offered to guests. The room was quite comfortable. WiFi worked flawlessly. The location was centralized for my needs. A very nice experience. My first time at the hotel, and will stay again on any future trips to Erbil.
I have been to Erbil before but this time I am happy to say there is a fantastic hotel in Erbil. BL hotel was great in anyway specially the manager Mr Guran. He speaks fluent English ( rare in Erbil ) and I think he manages the place like his home. You feel comfortable all the time. Highly recommended. You get a lot more than you pay. Thank you guys
Very good value of money . The breakfast was very good full of varaity of Iraqi’s breakfast. The staff very helpful. The night and day staff are very friendly and helpful. I felt safe and all my belonging like ID’s were safe at the hotel. Close to many restaurants. Close to downtown but you need to take a taxi for 5000 dinar with is $3
First of all the stuff of the hotel is absolutely amazing from start to end. Their support and hospitality was above my expectations. I have experienced many situations along my trips, but the stuff from the Divan Hotel was the best experience I had so far.
Thank you all, especially to Arshad, Nadine, Rima, Kaywan and James.
this is a third time i stay in this hotel with my family it is not only my talk also my family talk about this hotel (quality of sleeping, quiet rooms, air condtion, every location is very clean baths room and beds, towles so clean, location of hotel very good to every location in erbil) realy i feel this is my home.
I’ve stayed at the Quartz many times and they never disappoint. Safety and security excellent. Good location, near the Citadel. Staff, especially Michele and manager, Ibrahim were very professional and accommodating to my somewhat “picky” requests. Overall, the best hotel in Erbil. I will always stay at the Quartz!
Great location as far as visiting the Ainkawa suburb is concerned, which has many bars, cafes and restaurants. Staff were also very hospitable and friendly, especially Rana from Syria. Ankawa is like a city within a city, so I do recommend staying here separately to Erbil city to experience it as well.
Very polite and kind staff, the hotel manager should be congratulated for his staff
The hotel and rooms are clean
The hotel environment is quiet and comfortable Excellent access to the city
Every time I return to Erbil, I will definitely choose this hotel
This is a very nice hotel, in very good condition. The staff are excellent and took good care of me. It's in a quiet area of the city, but getting around is not a problem because the Careem app works in Erbil. So it's easy to call and pay for a taxi.
Thanks to the Team of Erbil Arjaan by Rotana for the superior level of service. , which goes beyond the area of responsibilities of the Hotel if asked by the guests. my sincere gratitude for making my trips to Erbil safe and comfortable!
The hotel is one of the best places in Erbil! It's really clean and comfy. Respectful staff with great services. The breakfast buffet is also good and various. I can evaluate the hotel as one of the best in the town.
It is one of the best staying in Erbil, the staff ultimately professional, nice welcoming, good serving, amazing food.. I recommend Nova Sky Hotel and will stay again there .. well done guys
