N/AGreatSchools RatingParent Rating AverageIf academics ever did take a backseat to sports, it is no longer the case. The high school has become a force to be reckoned with academically. The AP programs is English, math, science, and social studies have grown with the AIMS initiative in recent years. More students are enrolling in the AP program, and more are succeeding on the AP exams. There has been a considerable shift towards a culture of learning. Rigorous instruction in composition by college board certified instructors and a newly formed 4-year engineering program, complete with dedicated teachers and state-of-the-art equipment are a couple indications of the growth of this school. PGHS is also academically ranked 16 in the state of Arkansas. Couple these factors with a student body who is learning to value community and achievement, teachers concerned with character as well as academics, a supportive administration intent on growing in leadership and effectiveness, a band and FFA program competitive on the state level, and, yes, a top-notch sports program, and you have a school, not a perfect one, mind you, but a quality one, where a student will find a positive and fulfilling academic and social experience.Teacher Review10y ago - Prairie Grove Middle School

5/10GreatSchools RatingParent Rating Averageteachers for the most part are very good and caring. Administration on the other hand is a big problem. The principle hides in her office and does not seem to want to get involved if there is a problem and the VP believes in rule by intimidation. He is always right and has perfect kids of his own because he compares everyone to his. I have seen him in action, might be OK for a military school, but has no business in a public oneOther Review7y ago - Prairie Grove Junior High School

"Good schools and love our police department . They always patrol and checking the neighbor hood out looking for things out of place."

"It's a hidden gem in Fayetteville and a very desirable place for families and pet people, Wilson Park is one of (if not the) oldest parks in Fayetteville but has been well maintained and recently updated."

"Traffic is the most hazardous element in this neighborhood. In general, I would say this is probably one of the safest neighborhoods in the city. I have lived here over ten years. "

"Crime rate in the nearby income based apartment complex is super high. Shooting, drug deals and worse. Management gaslights tenants to avoid responsibility "
- Trulia User

"Homeless hubs all through local woods and bike trails. This seems the old segregated area of town. Situated behind the “downtown entertainment district”, a military housing complex turned into low income projects housing, a confederate cemetery, the county prison and the edge of town. Great equity on a repaired or rebuilt home tho"
