Dothan reminds me of Chattanooga in 1988. Prices were reasonable everywhere. People are kind. at 11pm in town I saw a lot of security, which made me wonder if it wasn't safe - but they keep it good and they dont seems to have issues. Went for a weekend Scottish Highland Games festival to run a tent for the first year. we absolutely loved the place and will add it to the recurring list. Except next time I might stay a week to relax more in town and hit more of those great BBQ, southern food spots that are still high value, good pricing. As a mainly Florida Clan, we might just make Dothan the fall getaway location for some great golfing, pecans, and peanuts. Blue Plate diner yesterday was $16 for BBQ chicken, 2 sides, fresh peach cobbler alamode and great sweet tea with lemon. Had another dinner at D&D near Daleville - that was fantastic and they stopped by the table every 5 minutes to get us what ever we wanted, even from the potato or salad bar without us needing to get up! That is service. and the kindest of all people. I LOVE this town. and the golfing was great - did a few days at the Dothan National and their lighted range was lighted at night to 1-2AM with a full bar and the NEW CALLAWAY smart shot system that records, time, club, swing speed, ball speed, loft height, distance in air, total distance, grouping, analysis, sorting. different tee heights or hit off the lush artificial turf you stand on. I didnt get to the Robert Trent course but those at the range had and said it was in pristine condition. This town is a Mecca of sorts and southern by the Grace of God.

Downtown Dothan is gorgeous.
Downtown Dothan is gorgeous. It is being redone and has so much to offer. There's also a Waterpark, several walking/biking trails. All the shopping and eating you could want with friendly people. Blue moon Cafe downtown and MCCC are definitely musts.

First trip here - scouting a place to live.
First trip here - scouting a place to live. Dothan is a big small town. It's old. But it looks safe. Lots of traffic, but it's easy to get around. Has every kind of store that is needed, lots of parks. I loved Dothan.

Dothan’s roads were a mess. The city looks dirty.

I reared my children in Dothan 20 years ago. At that time it was a clean city with a lot of family activities. I would never move back.
Conestoga has not changed……best steak ever.
The traffic was awful. It felt much like Atlanta.

I was very happy with Dothan.
I was very happy with Dothan. The ring road concept lets you get places fast and you can find what you are looking for. This was a quick trip but still I was very happy with the city and would return again. The mall was nice even in this Covid 19 time. I felt the mall was very responsible in how they handled the patrons. Would rather return in the warmer weather but go check it out. Lots of bargains to find in Dothan

I really liked the friendliness of the people there.
I really liked the friendliness of the people there. It would have been a great trip if the motel room had been clean. My question would be if it was because we got a room for smoking that it wasn't clean?
The front desk employee was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was very close to different eating establishments, gas stations and grocery stores. Over all, the grounds and rooms were clean. The air conditioner worked really well. If the owner had a good quality control person checking the rooms behind the cleaning crews this could be a good hotel.
Room was a suite. Appears hotel being remodeled. There were window blinds but no curtains, so anyone could easily see into the rooms at the edge of the blinds. We were on the first floor, so we had to walk around in the dark.
The water was scalding hot. My husband told the desk clerk that it was dangerous.
I liked that it was smoke free and that the towels provided was mine to keep and that the traffic was kept to a minimum and I didn't hear a bunch of walking around in/out rooms. There wasn't a bunch of kids making noise. And the best part of it was I never got woke up once with loud disrespect from anyone.
Nothing!!! It was nasty and scary it smelled like weed the people were beating on our walls all night and well tried to call office but the phone didn’t work In the room and they wouldn’t answer the phone when I called on my cell phone. I was to scared to leave my room.
We liked the central location of the hotel. The room was large and had all the essentials one needs to travel. They have a coffee bar and water available in the lobby during all hours which was nice. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
The Front desk and on duty manager was exceptional. They were helpful and location was.great and all shopping and restaurants were in close proximity. The hotel was clean and smelled good in the lobby. Our room was clean and comfortable.
Laminate floors, Fridge, location, overall clean. Pet Friendly, TV channel selections (however larger TV would be nice), spacious room, Chair & footrest plus desk area. Iron & Ironing board in the room. Luggage Rest.
Stayed at other locations in Dothan, AL, TownPlace Suite was by far the best stay while traveling through on way to Florida. Clean, comfortable, and enjoyed the hot breakfast options before getting back on the road.
The location was a standout feature. Easy to get to. Easy to check in.
The breakfast provided a wonderful selection of food from fresh to cereals.
we appreciated the pet friendly nature of the hotel
The rooms and facility were clean, the breakfast menu was really great, the owners were very sweet and accommodating. It certainly exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay here again.
location was great, breakfast was good, but the odor in the hotel was overwhelming due to pets. I knew it was a pet friendly facility, but did not anticipate the smell.
Room was clean. Staff was friendly. Exceeded my expectations for this price point. We have another trip planned to Dothan soon and have booked this same hotel again.
the location was perfect. the room was comfortable and hotel staff was responsive to requests. we were able to be on our way fairly early the next day.
