Property was VERY CLEAN and nice. A little small. Hides bed couch was very uncomfortable to sit on. Assume sleeping on it would be the same but might be fine for children.

The location is excellent. The hotel is clean and the staff couldn't be better. The Big Bad Breakfast is great for morning coffee and the food was very good. Although limited, it's nice that room service for a snack is also available if you happen to arrive later or just need something quick and easy. It would be nice to have a salad option or fruit plate on the menu instead of only fried foods or burgers.

The city of Florence is small but the people are wonderful and there is plenty of shopping and restaurants in the area. I enjoy my time in Florence each time I go, just be cautious of the hotel you book. I would definitely not recommend Baymont By Wyndham.

Chaos & confusion. Needed a map to find our way around.
Chaos & confusion. Needed a map to find our way around. I love to eat but definitely not there. If anyone moves there that can cook they will be popular and wealthy. The indoor mall died a long time ago. I'm sure at one time it was very industrious, now it is a ghost town.

The Florence/Muscle Shoals area is my favorite place.
The Florence/Muscle Shoals area is my favorite place. I love the cities, the atmosphere, etc. I had not eaten at Ricatoni's before and I did get to eat there and it was a delicious meal. I also managed to visit some of the downtown shops, etc. and thoroughly enjoyed that. I usually stay at The Shoals Marriott, but decided to try The Stricklin Hotel. I was not pleased with that experience as compared to The Marriott. I would have much preferred to stay at The Marriott.

We drove 6 hours to see what was advertised, as a Fourth of July celebration, at McFarland park, only to find it had been CANCELLED!!!
The majority of the venues and restaurants were closed on Sunday, and other tourists, including ourselves, were wandering around looking at closed businesses.
Very disappointing.
Our room at the Stricklin was filthy, and didn’t appear to have been cleaned in weeks.
Filthy sheets, and housekeeping had already left when we checked in, so the desk clerk brought up sheets.
Booking. Com AND this hotel, should refund our money!

Quaint little town with many historical sites to see.
Quaint little town with many historical sites to see. Warm and welcoming community. Enjoyed the birth place of Helen Keller and the Frank Lloyd Wright home. Ate at Ricatoni's Italian Grill for late lunch. Food, staff and atmosphere were all very enjoyable.
Breakfast was not great, you served yourself, what was provided was not nice. The hotel is very tired looking and everywhere looks as though it needs a good scrub. Our room carpet was very dirty and sticky, the room had a funny smell, I ended up wearing my shoes to even go to the bathroom. Clearly the hotel needs a refurbishment. The lift floor looked just as bad. We were only staying one night so put up with it but wont stay at any Hampton Inn again. The staff were very nice and helpful.
The staff were all nice. The room was clean. The bed was better than any hotel bed I’ve slept in. The WiFi worked great for my kids - no complaints from them at all. The pool was fun for the kids. It was a nice breakfast - plenty of options.
The few issues we had we solved almost immediately.
My mother and I really enjoyed the hotel! We do a lot of traveling and have stayed at many hotels across the world. The hotel is truly unique. The bar staff was very sweet and helpful! We enjoyed Olivia, Molly, and Abby. The beds are very comfortable!
Our stay at The Stricklin Hotel in Florence, AL was everything we wanted and more. From the furnishings to the location, we couldn't have asked for more. We can't wait to return for another stay at The Stricklin soon!
It was a completely pleasant experience from the hotel's part. The staff was amazing, the room was roomy and comfortable. We will be going back to Florence and will be staying there again for sure!
