Brockenhurst was a great location for us as we were visiting Beaulieu motor museum. We wished we had stayed for longer as we would have had time to explore more like some of the beautiful walks. On our way to the motor museum we drove through the national park the scenery was lovely. We had evening meal at The Filly Inn the food was excellent.

Can get very busy and crowded during peak holiday periods. Best times to enjoy the New Forest are probably early Spring or Autumn. Parking a car or larger vehicle can be very frustrating at peak times and electric charge points are very limited in public access areas.

Brockenhurst is only a small forest village but it has lots of fantastic pubs and even a hotel.with a spa. It's central for visiting the new forest and the train station makes a day trip to Bournemouth car free!
Lots of walking on the doorstep, period houses, ponies and donkeys walking about and a great bakery for picnics .

Beautiful place to stay. Would recommend staying or visiting.
The snakecatcher was a great place to eat along with the local curry house.
There was plenty of places to get your food shop done and the people of Brokenhurst are so friendly.
Where else can you go shopping and bump into donkeys!

House was in perfect position just by local shop.
House was in perfect position just by local shop. Very clean and had everything we needed. Wasn’t sure how washing machine worked but as stay was short wasn’t used. Perhaps instructions would help. But thanks to host it was all perfect. Would recommend
This house was massive, so many rooms & so much space. We stayed in the Delux Apartment & it was like home away from home. There was a living area with a TV & Tea Making facilities. There were 2 big double bedrooms, a bathroom & an extra stand alone toilet. John was so accommodating, friendly & would do anything he could to make your stay more comfortable. The breakfast was amazing with so much selection, freshly cooked full breakfast, gorgeous.
The hotel was well positioned for exploring the New Forest. Our room had been upgraded to the four-poster room when we checked in, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel management had also left a gift and card for us in our room.
The Spa facilities were a great extra that made our stay very relaxing.
All of the staff were amazing and really helpful. The lady on reception gave us some great tips for exploring the local area.
Nested in the heart of the New Forest, with great pubs and restaurants nearby, this place is a gem and a very easy stay for a few days exploring the area. The hosts make up the best part of the stay, being very kind and always available. Breakfast is very good, with plenty of choices, and there is private parking (we kept the car parked after checkout which was very nice of them to accomodate).
This is the most gorgeous little thatched hotel- we loved it. A perfect base to explore the new forest from, the room we were in seeped history, with low doorways exposed beams and ancient quirks. And luxury, with a big warm plump duvet. The breakfast was the best I have had all year, the house white wine is juicy and the staff are fantastic. Will always recommend this hotel! 👌
This hotel is a bit of a gem. The highlights for me:
1) Location - It is right on the edge of the New Forest National Park
2) Food - the evening meal was excellent. I ate there 3 of the 5 days and was not at all disappointed
3) Staff - friendly and helpful always
4) Hotel - full of personality in its own right
I will certainly be returning - both for business and pleasure
Lovely bright, comfortable apartment. Well equipped kitchen and cosy living area with log burner. Comfortable bedrooms and excellent shower. The owners were very helpful and responsive with queries. We would not hesitate to come back for another stay. Brockenhurst is a lovely village and the apartment is a perfect base for exploring the New Forest
We spent our Honeymoon at Rhinefield House Hotel and it was amazing. During our stay we had a lovely Elemis couples massage, afternoon tea and use of the spa. We enjoyed opening our wedding cards to views of the koi pond. The lovely touches of the badger on the bed were cute. Thank you yes, would recommend! It was lovely!
The master suite with 2 bedrooms and a lovely sitting room were ideal for a walking break in the new forest.Broadlands gate is set on the edge of moor land but 10 mins walk into Brockenhurst.
John is a very good host
Lovely breakfast and Quentin the dog was a very friendly well behaved addition..We had a lovely visit.
The apartment was very stylish, nicely presented and very clean. The location was great, all shops and amenities just around the corner and it was a great location to explore the New Forest. There was parking and a lovely welcome box. The property owner was friendly and helpful and available on the phone and text.
Lovely house really well appointed ,clean and tidy.As the weather was warm we were able to enjoy the garden.
Situated in the centre of Brockenhurst so close to walks on Balmer lawn and other parts of new forest .Nice not to have to use the car .thanks again
we were impressed with the friendlyness of the staff, quality of the food, and the ambeance of the hotel,
pleasantly suprised with the heated outside pool, also very suprised that with all fhis, it was not classed
as FIVE STAR.
The staff were very attentive; the breakfast was of high quality and good quantity. Brockenhurst is well positioned for exploring the New Forest and is pretty easy to get to. The bed was big. The room was clean.
Breakfast was excellent. Great buffet selection. Well organised and the toasters actually worked!
The hotel is an old vicarage, and its design is possibly a little old-fashioned, but we found it charming.
Lovely room in the heart of the New Forest just steps away from the Brockenhurst train station. I stayed here twice. Tracy, my host even gave me a deal on my second stay. I will absolutely stay again.
A warm welcome from the lovely staff, perfect post Christmas two night break. Great location for walks from the hotel and short drive to a number of New Forest towns and villages.
Great 2 bedroom/2 bath apartment with all the amenities of the hotel. Wonderful. The location is beautiful. I watched the deer and rabbits in the forest from my window.
Very charming and cozy hotel, great choice of dining options, and wonderful spa treatments. Excellent service - staff were really friendly and accommodating.
