New Bern was a lovely little town to visit.
New Bern was a lovely little town to visit. We enjoyed our stay at the Hilton Doubletree. We had a lovely balcony that overlooked the river and the boat Harbor. Everyone we met in the town was so gracious and friendly. There are quite a few quaint little shops to visit. We were able to find lots of delicious food within blocks of our hotel room. it was lovely to park our car in the hotel parking lot and not have to get in it to go anywhere for two days. Everything was just in walking distance.

There are lots of things to do. Great places of history to visit like Tryon Palace. Great shopping and good restaurants. Morgan's, Lawsons on the Creek, Cypress Hall and Bakers Kitchen served delicious meals. Great parking on the street and public parking.

New Bern was a great town.
New Bern was a great town. Lots of history and you could walk to just about all attractions. Lots of restaurants and the people were friendly. We went in November so it wasn’t too crowded and it was easy to get around. Lots of free parking.

Loved the small-town charm and feel of the city.
Loved the small-town charm and feel of the city. There are tourist attractions, like Tryon Palace, but it's also a great city to just walk around and explore the neighborhoods and architecture, a lot of which is original to the city. The people are friendly and it's not overly congested like a lot of "beach" towns (the closest beach is 30 miles away). The food is hit and miss, so make sure you check out the sanitation grades before you dine because there are surprisingly quite a few establishments with a B grade.

New Bern is a friendly, active town with lots of different things to do. Good restaurants, great places to stay, numerous activities, close to beaches. History, culture and fun all in one beautiful location.
We liked that our hotel was near the water, and we were able to drive to the downtown area quickly. This hotel is just over the bridge from the downtown area, and we liked that the room cost was reasonable. We had a good continental breakfast, and the hotel staff when we checked in was very friendly. This is a bit of an older hotel, and could stand for some renovations, but it was clean and sufficient for our stay, and we knew it was older when we booked it.
Hanna House proved to be an ideal place for us to stopover on the trip down the east coast. The B&B was easy to find, parking was possible on the drive and it was a very short walk into town for an evening meal.
The room was very comfortable and the choice of homemade breakfast options was amazing. Our picks were very tasty.
We were able to leave our car at the B&B for a few hours so we could explore New Bern, before heading on our way.
The Bed&Breakfast was located in central New Bern and we loved the host and the outstanding breakfast. The host was so friendly and gave us recommandations for dinner. We were able to let our car at the building the next day, so we could walk around the town without looking for a parking space for our car. New Bern was a stopover on our way to the Outer Banks and was perfect for one night.
A great place to stay. Our expectations were exceeded!
The historic inn is very well maintained. The innkeeper Linda is a lovely person. She prepares a fantastic breakfast, the best we ever had in the US!
There is a pub next door. The location is perfect for exploring historic New Bern by step.
If we return to New Bern we'll definitely stay in Meadows Inn.
The house is a short drive to New Bern. Very easy to get to. There's a large back yard, plenty of room inside, and a beautiful kitchen! The cabinets, counters and appliance are all new and very nice!! The host is super responsive! I had a couple questions during our stay and I hard barely hit send on my text message to her before she responded to me.
The BridgePointe was a nice distance to the downtown area of New Bern and the facilities were what you’d expect for a hotel at this price point. However their staff was exceptional and went above and beyond to be helpful including ensuring my glasses I’d left behind made their way back to me. Thank you!
Very nice historic property that is walkable to downtown New Bern area. Lovely stone walled cemetery across the street, which was a great walkable space for me and my dogs. Great coffee shop walkable from property too. The host provided a lot of information and responded to all inquiries quickly.
The Hanna House was perfect for my short stay in New Bern. Members of the staff were helpful and friendly. The location was great and my room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend!
The inn is beautiful and in the perfect location. The Innkeeper greeted us upon our arrival and shared the history of New Bern and the Inn. Our accommodations were comfortable, and breakfast was delicious.
Great place, well designed with plenty of space, you have everything you need for a quiet getaway. Not far from New Bern downtown. The owner is super nice. Will come back for sure!
Nice, clean room. Nice pool, open evenings (good for adults), pleasant staff, good breakfast options on site. New Bern had a number of good restaurant options for dinner.
With the kitchen that was provided when we entered the room, we managed to have a hearty breakfast. This was the first hotel that had a kitchen so it was very convenient.
Breakfast was better than many hotels that provide this amenity. Choices included eggs, bacon, sauteed potatoes, waffles, fresh fruit, and a variety of juices.
